Your Endoscopy Procedure at Central Middlesex Hospital 

Please note that your procedure will be carried out within the Endoscopy Unit located at the BECAD Centre at Central Middlesex Hospital, Acton Lane, Park Royal, London, NW10 7NS.   

On the day of your colonoscopy/flexible sigmoidoscopy procedure, please note the following:  

  • Please arrive at the main entrance (BECAD), as indicated on the map below.

  • The Endoscopy Unit (BECAD) is located on the ground floor and can be accessed by taking the first corridor on the right.  The Endoscopy Reception is located down this corridor (past the Park Royal Medical Practice). 

  • Please report to the Endoscopy Reception on arrival. 

 

         How to Get Here 

Central Middlesex Hospital is located in Park Royal, on the border of Ealing and Brent.

       Arriving by car 

Please note that parking at Central Middlesex Hospital is accessed from the Central Way roundabout (for the basement car park), or Acton Lane (for the surface car park).  

 

Please be aware, that for most colonoscopy procedures, you can expect to be in the unit for approximately FOUR hours.  For procedures being undertaken under general anaesthetic, then please expect to be in the unit for longer.   Car parking charges apply and pay and display is in operation.  Charges are currently: - 

  • Up to 2 hours: £5.80 

  • Up to 3 hours: £6.40 

  • Up to 5 hours: £7.30 

  • Up to 8 hours: £11.10 

 

If you have a disabled badge, you can park for up to six hours for free in our disabled bays. 

               Arriving by Public Transport 

 

  • The nearest tube station is Harlesden, on the Overground and Bakerloo line.  This is approximately a 20-minute walk from the Hospital, or a 6-minute Bus journey (260 Bus Route) 

  • The Piccadilly line stops at Park Royal.  From here you will need to take the 226 Bus route to Central Middlesex Hospital. 

  • The Central line stops at North Action.  From here, you can take the 440 but to Park Royal Asda.  Central Middlesex Hospital is approximately a 2-minute walk from this stop.
